(things I've spotted of interest)
Introducing System One Models & Jev
TypeSafe AI’s first “System One” model, Jev, in early access. Built for fast, structured outputs that software can use directly, with big claimed speed and cost advantages over general-purpose LLMs.
Decision making models are going to have a real impact. When used right … and I don’t know when to use it. Yet.
Introducing Clef: our open-source decision models, and new RL fine-tuning platform
Cloudflare’s open-source Clef and Clef-flash classification models, running on Workers AI, plus a reinforcement learning platform to fine-tune them on your own data.
Speaking of decision making models, this is smart by Cloudflare. They’re baking a lot into their stack in the right way. Am liking them more and more.
Preview, edit and collaborate on Markdown (.md) files natively across Drive and Docs
Google Docs can now open and edit Markdown files without converting them, and Drive shows rendered previews.
Why I prefer Google Docs to Microsoft. Things just happen quicker and this is a good change as things that are AI+Human readable will beat “word.docx”.
