I played in a softball league a couple of years ago and I found it hilarious travelling on the tube with this bat in my hand, looking like an unlikely aggressor.

I am renovating at the moment, and have been quite good at sticking to public transport. It is entertaining to see the suprise on peoples faces as they get on the tube and see me with ladders/paint/sacks of compost/saw/timber. Tube station staff did look suprised when I went through the barrier with a ladder and a hand saw.
