A mail this week about a session today ...
I don't want to oversell it, but we'll be demoing some things in this session that will literally make your eyes fall out of your head. It will be a climax akin to Frodo destroying the One Ring, Harry Potter killing Voldemort, and the Death Star blowing up, all rolled into one and in Powerpoint form. You don't want to miss this one.
Also there will be free pizza.
Postscript:

You rock, eBay is hilarious, oh my office jokes make my sides hurt

What some people no doubt read when they recieved said mail:
“Blah blah yakedy-schmakedy blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah yakedy-schmakedy blah blah blah blah (yawn) blah yak-yak blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah yak-schmak blah blah blah blah.
Also there will be free pizza.”

Destructor, I don’t think you are being all that sincere.
4. Calista
Hmmm…so that’s what pizza boxes look like in the UK. Ours are square.

Matt: That’s certainly how they get people to meetings in our place.
“Bob (CEO) will be over to give a briefing on the state of play with the [xxx] account on Wednesday.
Lunch will be provided from Delifrance.”
Guaranteed 80-90% of the office will attend, even though everyone either already knows or doesn’t care about the state of account [xxx].

I think one of the only messages I sent to my team this year that has been paid much attention had a subject of “cakes, brownies and free beer (or alternatively, recruitment”. It was even more evil than I intended as of course for most of them they could not see the end of the subject line before they ended it. A chorus of “Oh! Oh.”s went round the office…

you can tell it’s sunday. I never closed my brackets before ending the speech marks and of course I meant “opened it” not “ended it”. Sounds like they were all so disappointed about the lack of free beer that they couldn’t face life anymore…!

Where the hell did those pizza boxes come from? Look more like boxes from new keyboards or something… ohh… ohh the disappointment.
9. Adrian
Pizza Al Rollo which does Pizza by the meter does long boxes.
