So you book into the same hotel 5 days later.
So you request a room on the other side of the building. One not opposite the night club.
Turns out the night club is closed.
Because
The hotel is hosting a event (party/ball) for all the nightclub and bar restaurant managers and workers in Waterford.
And the ball room is on your side of the building.
Just close enough to hear thumping base.
Whilst the room you had last week faces a closed and very quiet night club. Because all the nightclub workers are in your hotel partying it up, below your window.
Did I do something in a previous life I ask?
Why do they hate me so?
An the rooms on this side of the building are just close enough to the free wireless connection it, but not enough to actually use it for anything like getting an IP address or sending emails. So I have to walk to the other side of the building to use the free internet. I'm currently sitting at the top of the third floor stair well.
Why me?

Yeah - I totally hate it when that happens. I hate it when the side of the hotel that you happen to be staying in is so unreasonably noisy that you can’t work in the night and that you have to trek to the other side of the building and sit in a stairwell just to get internet.
I mean the absoloutely unreasonable action to take in that situation would be to demand that you get moved to another room on the quiet side of the hotel that has internet access, and if they refuse to move you then simply refuse to pay.

I’m sure if the universe truly did hate you, it could find far more interesting ways to ruin your life than a bad night’s sleep and a lousy internet connection.
3. Adrian
Ok lets just say the universe is content with hacking my off, as opposed to actually ruin my life.
4. pixeldiva
It’s not trying to hack you off, it’s trying to make sure that you appreciate a good night’s sleep and a good internet connection :)
5. Destructor
I’m sure if the universe wanted to hack your legs off, it could find a way.
6. annie
Clearly it’s because you’re a Bad Person. Who sleeps too much.
7. Adrian
Clearly.

As an aside - and probably of no relevance at all - if you ever have to stay at the Strand Palace (Strand, London) always ask for a room at the back of the hotel (i.e. NOT overlooking The Strand). The ones at the front are incredibly noisy and hot (especially in the summer). It only took me three stays to work up the courage to ask to be moved!

you have some seriously bad kharma to work off.
