Yes but somethings first rounds are the smallest coz you are first there and group is smallest..later everyone has arrived, group has multiplied by 5, everyone wants a drink and you are screwed….

And when (much) later when the round is just about to make it’s way back round to you (approx 5-12 drinks later) it’s ‘hey is that the time, I’ve gotta shoot…’.
I disagree. Generosity is a great trait to have and your friends will know you for that and repay you in other ways. I first-round too quite a bit and sometimes feel ‘stung’ but when I think about it a little deeper I always realise that my friends have repaid me in other ways. As they say, what goes around, comes around. (Pun intended!)
