Every now and then a TV show edges a comment in edgeways that just makes you laugh. Most of Joss Whedon's stuff is like that (Buffy, Angel and especially the brilliant Firefly and Serenity). There was a comment on the new X-Files type series Threshold on sky the other day, that made me chuckle.

- We're trying to cut the phone cable line but it's buried 20 feet underground. It'll take a few hours.

- How did you reach that estimate.

- I'm using the Paris Hilton sex tapes as my distribution model.
Actually maybe it wasn't meant to be humour but was just simply a fact.

I’m sure the rest of the post is wonderful but I’m stuck at “edges a comment in edgeways”
2. matthew
I’ve been shock for an entire day over ‘Josh Wheatens’.
3. Lyle
I quite liked Angle. Although it’s a bit obtuse.
And some people reckoned David Boreanaz( or htf it’ spelled) was acute one.

Right, all corrected. You can now all go and read the actual post if you like. Or not.
5. Lyle
Well, except for a) still having “edge in a comment edgeways” and b) it’s Whedon.
6. Matthew
All corrected, that is except for ‘Joss Wheatons’. Sigh. Click here Sevitz, and all will be made clear.
I’ve read the actual post actually, and it also made me chuckle. Is Threshold any good? I am fond of shows that make you chuckle in situations of extreme tension, but if the show isn’t a corker (ie Buffy, Angel, Firefly) then the jokes all too often induce a groan rather than the requisite chuckle.

Ok, 3rd iteration and Whedon is now fixed.
What’s wrong with edging a comment in edgeways? Sounds all good too me.
Threshold is not bad. It’s early days yet, so could go either way, but the lead does have nice norks.

Sorry oke.
‘Threshold,’ ‘Reunion’ canceled
9. Adrian
Ah well, I’ll probably watch it anyway.
I just wish when they cancelled shows they would have a thing that says “This is what would have happened story wise, if we didn’t cancel it”. I hate not knowing where the story was going.

I’m quite sure that if I was the one who wrote that episode, you’d e-mail me saying:
“Well you can hardly expect an image of a triple-helix that makes a noise like sharpening knives to have the same distribution level as a movie file of Paris Hilton having sex.”
