1) Read your favourite magazine by placing it on the cistern lid

2) Have quick and easy access to the bog roll that is located on wall infront of you with minimal twisting/turning

3) Have quick and easy access to do what you need to do once you’ve completed what it was you went into the toilet to do

4) Hide your identity if somebody walks in on you unannounced.

The continentals have strange habits. At least its better than the french version which requires you to aim at a 2 inch hole in the ground.

leaving aside the fact that i only ever seem to comment on the bodily-function related posts…

i would like to suggest that the toilet with the TLZ would prevent splashback, an unfortunate but unavoidable occurrence.

Agreed, the splasback was non-existant, however the potential for the dreaded interaction between buttock and turd (usually only encountered during a gargantuan evacuation) was increased exponentially. This, in my opinion, was unacceptable. And don’t get me started on the position of the lightswitch for the aforementioned toilet.

As well as splashback prevention, it would also serve to muffle the sound of said turd as it landed, for the shy ones in the group.

This is the same city which has a museum devoted to poo, y’know.

I can’t believe you provided a diagram for that. Actually, I can. I heard that loos like that are for people to examine their poo to check that all is well. Surely you’d know you were eating right before it go to that end though? I agree about the lack of slpashback being a benefit, but am a bit stunned by the mention of having a buttock touching moment. Just as well I’d finished eating!

your smugglers bog is the standard design in germany. apparently it caters to their obsession with being health-obsessed, and stool-inspection is part of that obsession.

I think Rob has a good point. A covert dump is always socially adept. You can also check you own embonpoints for style and finish.
