[UPDATE] I don't know why I forgot to mention it, but I was the browsing when I found the snow occurred after I put my little Sony boom box cd player up for sale. Help pay for a piece of my board by buying this little gem.

Otherwise it sounds like you trumped his £100 bid with a bid that was smaller by £98.99.
Which makes no sense. That was my first clue.
