After spending most of last week phoning XFM to win tickets to their live radio show and screening of the footy at the Carling academy, 6 of us met up at Angle yesterday, tickets in hand. This is how the day went.
Met up with the lads at 2pm at Angel. Went for lunch at a French restaurant. Had a Sunday roast and a crepe. It was France v England after all.
Craig arrived. Remarked that he past loads of girls on the way to the restaurant, and although he couldn't remembered one face, he could remember ever single pair of breasts.
Went to the Carling Academy. Found out that it was private party 4-6 then us plebs could come in.
Went and sat in the sun at pub. Drank beer. Commented about every girl that walked past [Would I do that Jose?]. Talked about sport.
Went to the Carling academy. Stood at the front. Drank free beer.
Sang "Born in England" a lot. Drank beer.
Christian O'Connell came down. Yelled a lot. James Nesbitt came down. He looked plastered. Yelled a lot.
Drank free beer.
Got covered in beer when England scored.

Yelled a lot. Drank free beer.

Yelled a lot. Drank free beer.
At 88 mins in had to go for a slash. Made my way to the back. Watched the free kick. Went for a slash. Came back. Watched the penalty. Thierry yelled a lot.
Drank free beer.
Went for Nandos. Drank a cider.
Got on tube. Tube + free beer = bad. Changed to tube going in the right direction.
Got off tube. Felt ill.
Queue drunken phone call to Jose. Was mostly unintelligible. Phone call didn't last all that long as a result. Didn't endear myself much either.
Got on bus. Felt ill.
Got home. Felt ill.
Drank water and watched Malcolm in the middle. Felt I could sleep without puking.
Had a terrible nights sleep.
Woke up.
No voice.
All in all a great day out.

I tell ya…watched the whole match…was FREAKING OUT with five mins to go…then OHMYGOD! YES! Then OOHHHMMMYYYYYGODDDDDD YEESSSSSSSS!!! It was like when United won the treble only the opposite. Must’ve laughed for at least an hour.
Comiserations to all the English fans btw. And heartfelt apologies for the gloating. But I’m Irish. It’s in my blood. Sure we’re not even there.
