On Saturday, when driving back from the club we had left I said to Rob, "You know, you are about 80% a reflective dancer". Rob replied that he reckoned it was actually more like 100%.

"Reflective dancing" is a term I made up to describe something. I haven't mentioned this to anyone before that point yet Rob knew exactly what I was talking about, which could be a result of us being really good friends, or more likely is that we both think in the same (possible somewhat bizarre) way.

How would you interpret what I said to Rob?

[UPDATE] - Reflective dancing, is when your style of dancing changes to reflect the style of the girls dancing around you. Reflective dancing is not necessarily a conscious action.

You like to boogie in front of a large nightclub mirror so you can see just how super-fine you really are?

Yah, wot David said (or that people around him start dancing like him). Either that, or his evening wear involves a lot of aluminum foil and stainless steel.

That he dances in an introspective fashion? or he sees someone on the dance floor doing a particular “move” and copies them.

I know someone who unconsciously mimics the accent of whoever he’s talking to, can we call him a reflective conversationalist? (Before we punch him.)
